My idea is to show people in my community how to create simple above ground gardens, 4 ft square (anyone can care for this) with local materials (recycled wood ( low voc paint if needed) bricks any thing that can be used to make a simple 6" wall. my area has lots of wood that could easily be recycled.
Homemade humus or garden soil is easily made it just takes a bit of planning to store toss & wait for it to convert to soil to be used. Local resturants can supply the necessary…

I picked "good things happen if you do them." It's about pyschological
first aid and it has five different factors. First one is safety which
is about preventing the flu from spreading to a greater population.
Calmging which means if you're in risk of it, don't overeacting and
figuring out ways to keep yourself healthy. Connection means discussing
it with other people and not be isolated. Efficacy which means someone
is independent and responsible enough to take…

In order to increase my city's capacity for the inevitable environmental and economic change I started new construction programs. In order to house more people, large apartment complexes were built. This put a lot of people at work which boosted the economy and also helped to invest in the future residents of the city. I wanted to make sure that there was enough space for everyone and that the population of the city did not become indolent and overly dense. I also wanted to ensure the good…

My city will be built around nature, so as not to do as much damage. So it won't have blocks, but will be arranged randomly, avoiding big areas dense with trees and wildlife. Also, there would be a center however, where all the convenient places are so the harm to nature is confined to a space, rather than everything being spread far out. Any buildings and utilities used in everyday life would be there, and things such as waste and water and electricity would be near an area away from…

If a flu crisis and pandemic occurs again, I will take into account the things learned from the previous swine flu epidemic, and provide a vaccine and treatment for it early on. Also, in poorer places, more room needs to be made in hospitals for patients to stay in for help. Also, I will gather a team for research, and scientifically prove that the flu isn't as dangerous as people come to believe, and will not cause serious everlasting effects if treated. This will turn the pandemic to merely a…

When I am 100 I will carry the visions from the past where the world wouldn't be dominated by urban environments, and many species that would be extinct or engdangered are still freely roaming the earth. I would strongly warn people all over the world to be careful in their use of fossil fuels, nuclear energy, and other natural resources so as not to deplete the planet of life. Another thing I would talk about is the importance of learning long-distance space travel, or life in space, so if the…

It is Christmas, and it is dark. There are less energy sources than a decade ago, and power is getting less common. Now one in ten houses in the U.S do not have energy, and the world has finally decided to crackdown on energy. The government is giving out tax rebates for whoever spends under a certain amount of electricity. The church has come in and said that on Christmas, you should not use…

In the average house water is wasted. Most Americans use 100 gallons of water a day. Yet in the poorest parts of the world, people survive on 5. If we could streamline our water intake, we could help the world make more food, cleaner, and (obviously) less thirsty. We can easily do this by reusing our own house hold water. This would start with a filter under the house, powered by gravity. All…

I use my Ipod touch almost everyday to check my email, play a game, etc. but I am always charging it. I have to keep a computer on to charge it though and it wastes energy. I was thinking if there was a way to solve my dilemma. My idea was to install solar panels on the back of the Ipod and when not in use the can charge in the sun, but also keep the old way of charging if necessary. Solar panels are expensive though so I thought that the Ipod would not come with the ability to use the…

On a website I found out that somewhere they have a camp for social innovators. At this camp people bring their ideas together and judges vote on which ones are the best. On this wesite they posted a very good idea where the people who jog around in the mornings or any time can jog a certain route ad pass out mail or the paper. This would obviosly help save energy in a neighberhood where they use a mail truck and it would also help the body of whoever is running. In my opinion… Continue

Today is Christmas day. I am at home with my family sitting around a tree and watching the kids open presents. Instead of normal lights on the tree we have energy saving solar powered lights. My wh*** house is powered by solar energy. Later today I am going to go to a homeless shelter to help serve lunch and hand out clothes. I mainly do this because everybody should be happy on christmas and nobody should be without a full stomach. We are also giving out gifts to people so they… Continue

The agents of urgent evoke work together, sharing ideas and thoughts about the future of the world, and also solving hypothetical situation that could very well become real. People pool their thoughts together with posts, while being able to comment and see the ideas of others. This way ideas mix, and many new visions will emerge. These prepare people for the future, enabling them to save the planet! People complete missions of learning, acting and imagining, attributes that help them develop…

thinking creatively means we can navigate barriers and opportunities.
Seeing the bigger picture allows us a birdseye view of smallest details.
Constraints can be broken if we think outside the box, a good 30ft away
from it. If we think big possibilities we can then reign these back in
to fit the situation, making it possible and plausible. We must think
without fear and above all be proactive and creative in all that we do.
